DIXIE PEACH Same (1975 - 2025 Crossroad Productions)

A group you might already know from Road To Jacksonville, since they released an album called "Butta" on CD, but it has nothing to do with their first album, which came out in 1975. It sounds very much like the Allman Brothers, and that's precisely what makes Ira Stanley's group so appealing. Some tracks are quite good, and overall, it's a pleasant listen, but the album as a whole can sometimes seem to lack personality despite the obvious skill of the instrumentalists, who are still playing at a very high level—a specific point that might interest some listeners.
